Whole Toor Masala

 





Whole toor curry is a popular Indian dish made with whole pigeon peas (toor dal) cooked in a flavorful and aromatic curry. Here's a simple recipe:


Ingredients
- 1 cup whole toor dal
- 2 medium onions, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 medium tomato, chopped
- 1 teaspoon turmeric powder coriander powder 
- 1 teaspoon red chili powder
- 1 teaspoon garam masala powder cumin powder
- Salt, to taste
- 2 tablespoons oil
- Fresh cilantro, for garnish

Instructions
1. Soak the toor dal in water for 30 minutes or overnight . Drain and set aside.
2. Heat oil in a pan and sauté onions, garlic, a until the onions are translucent.Then add tomatoes and the spices mentioned above.
3. Add the soaked toor dal,mix well.
4. Add water and salt. Pressure cook for 3-4 whistles or until the dal is cooked.
5. Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve hot with rice or roti.

Tips
- You can add other spices to customize the curry to your taste.
- Adjust the spice levels according to your preference.
