BREAD PAKODA.
Ingredients
- 4-6 bread slices
- 1 cup gram flour (besan)
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
- Salt, to taste
- Oil, for frying
Instructions
1. In a bowl, mix together gram flour, water, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt to make a smooth batter.
2. Cut the bread slices into halves or quarters, depending on the desired size.
3. Dip each bread slice into the batter, coating it evenly.
4. Heat oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat.
5. Fry the bread slices until golden brown and crispy.
6. Remove the pakoras from oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
7. Serve hot with your favorite chutney or sauce.
Tips
- Adjust the amount of chili powder according to your desired level of spiciness. You can add other spices too and Alternatively u can add chilli flakes as well instead of chilli powder.
- For more delicious taste u can spread batter of aloo tikki (cutlets)on the bread and make a sandwich and then coat them with the besan batter and fry.
