Masala Omelette
Here's a simple recipe for a delicious Masala Omelette:
Ingredients:
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1/4 teaspoon red chili powder
- 1 tablespoon oil
- Chopped fresh cilantro (for garnish)
-Chopped onions & chopped green chillies (optional)
Ginger garlic paste, optional
Instructions:
1. Crack the eggs into a bowl and whisk them together with a fork. Add the salt, pepper, turmeric powder, ginger garlic paste ,onions ,chillies and red chili powder. Mix well.
2. Heat the butter or oil in a non-stick pan over medium heat.
3. Pour the egg mixture into the pan and let it cook for about 30 seconds.
4. Use a spatula to gently lift and fold the edges of the omelette towards the center, allowing the uncooked egg to flow to the edges.
5. Continue cooking and folding the omelette for another 2-3 minutes, until the eggs are almost set.
6. Use the spatula to fold the omelette in half and cook for another 30 seconds.
7. Slide the omelette onto a plate and garnish with chopped cilantro. You can grate some cheese too if U're a cheese fan
8. Serve hot with toast, roti, or paratha.
Tips:
- Use a non-stick pan to prevent the omelette from sticking and to make it easier to fold.
- Don't overfill the pan with the egg mixture, as this can make the omelette difficult to fold.
- If you prefer a more intense flavor, you can add some chopped tomatoes, bell peppers, or mushrooms to the egg mixture before cooking.
- Experiment with different spice levels by adjusting the amount of red chili powder or adding other spices like cayenne pepper or paprika.
