Chana dal

 Ingredients:

-1 cup chana dal (split chickpea lentils)

- 3 cups water

- 1 tablespoon ghee or oil

- 1 teaspoon cumin seeds

- 1 onion, finely chopped

- 1 tomato, chopped

- 1 teaspoon ginger-garlic paste

- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder

- 1 teaspoon coriander powder

- 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder (adjust to taste)

4. Add chopped onions and sauté until they turn golden brown.
5. Add ginger-garlic paste and sauté for a minute until the raw smell disappears.
6. Add chopped tomatoes and cook until they are soft and mushy.
7. Add turmeric powder, coriander powder, red chili powder, and salt. Mix well and cook for another minute.
8. Add the cooked chana dal to the pan and mix everything well. Adjust the consistency by adding more water if needed.
